Zenith Men Watch Z.M.D.X.T.B.T.C.M.

Zenith Men's 96.0529.4035/51.M Defy Xtreme Tourbillon Titanium Chronograph Watch honest review

I was looking to upgrade my Casio Men's F91W-1 Classic Black Digital Resin Strap Watch, so I spent several weeks researching the best option for me. Lo and behold, I stumbled across this beauty, and I couldn't be happier.

I am constantly looking at my watch. Ask anyone I know, and they will tell you I always know the time. It is such a handsome watch. It isn't remotely bulky, and at 17 ounces, it's practically lighter than air.

It does such a fantastic job displaying the time, I won't even check the time on the in-dash clock in my 1994 Geo Prizm. The Prizm clock is ALWAYS out of sync. I am tempted to buy a second watch just to have it installed in my car; in place of the factory in-dash clock.

I even wear the watch to work. It holds up swimmingly. Sometimes when I drop the salt shaker into the vat of searing hot fry oil, I reach in and pull it out. Not only does the watch continue to operate and remain intact, it also protects my wrist from burning. I have pictures. In them, my hand and arm (up to mid forearm) are scalded and covered in blisters, but a pale 1-inch strip remains. It also seems that the singed skin surrounding the unscathed strip heals faster when wearing the watch. Could it have healing properties too? I don't know. That's best left for Bill Nye to determine. (But I suspect I know the answer.)

As much as I love this watch, it is not without some downsides.

As my title suggests, it is a little pricey. It was a little more than I expected, but I decided I should spare no expense when it comes to wrist comfort and time-display. If this were about $1000-$1379.65 cheaper, I would have been even more satisfied. Yet, I can't have everything. Nothing is perfect right?

Second, they don't have a version for kids. Every child should learn to read time, and the fact that this watch is only for adults is not only prejudice, but it is an utter failure in regards to the public education system. How are we to become the smartest nation in the world when we can't even offer our youth reasonable means to read something as basic as time?

Additionally, I would love if this watch had additional band options. Perhaps the option to change out with a rubber or canvas band would really help dress it down. As it is, it's a bit flashy and super dressy.

Other than those three, admittedly minor, quibbles, it is a great watch. Although it is more expensive than I would have preferred, it is still affordable. It displays time better than any watch I have ever seen, it protects from oil burns and likely has heightened healing capabilities. I highly recommend this to anyone that likes time.
